Framestore adds Markov as an advertising CD

Framestore has appointed Kamen Markov to its London advertising team as Creative Director.

Markov’s credits include Cravendale ‘Cats with Thumbs’ which has reached over 10 million views on YouTube, John Lewis & Partners ‘The Boy and the Piano’ which has won over 15 VFX awards worldwide including VES, Cannes Lion, British Arrows and ADC, as well as LEGO’s “Rebuild The World” campaign which was nominated for Outstanding VFX at VES.

“We are thrilled to have Kamen Markov on the Framestore team, his passion and experience for visual effects will be infectious,” said William Bartlett, Executive Creative Director. “As a key recruit for us at a point of integral growth in our department, I look forward to seeing where his vision will take us and the boundaries he will break with his work.”

“My style of work can be defined by a constant desire for closer and earlier collaboration with agencies and directors,” said Kamen Markov. “I’m incredibly excited to continue my journey with visual effects powerhouse Framestore, and look forward to learning from the studio’s award-winning talent while bringing my unique background to the team.”

Kamen began his career as a Motion Graphic Designer for television before working as an editor and VFX artist for TopForm Studio in his hometown of Bulgaria. Kamen then moved to Mexico City where he worked with top advertising executives including Fred Clapp, Jorge Aguilera and Oliver Castro. Kamen then moved to London to join MPC where he worked as a VFX supervisor and lead composer on projects with acclaimed directors such as Daniel Kleinman, Jonathan Glazer, Ulf Johansson, Frederic Planchon, Robert Stromberg, Johan Renck and the legendary collective of Traktor directors.
